American Tobacco Trail in Durham, Chatham, and Wake Counties, North Carolina. This is a rail-trail on a former Norfolk Southern rail corridor. It is 23 miles in length on multiple surfaces. This is the Wake County section which is heavily used by equestrians as well as cyclists and pedestrians.
