  • Little Sugar Creek between Sharon Road West and Hwy 51. This is about 1/4 mile upstream from I-485, right below the Carolina Pavilion Shopping Center parking lot. The discharge is polluted water from a wash basin used by I-485 concrete contractor to wash concrete trucks. It was permitted for one-time use but they used it many times and it overflowed during a heavy rain, draining in to the creek. NCDOT contractor was required to stop using the wash basin but was not fined.
