  • The Bridges at Mint Hill site showing extra-ordinary stream mitigation measures put in place in 2008 to protect the Goose Creek watershed, home of the endangered Carolina Heelsplitter. The development floundered in the economic downturn but developers claim (May 2013) it is back on track. But it was approved in 2008 prior to the state's guidelines to protect the heelsplitter and Mint Hill's post-construction ordiance, so any ongoing mitigation mjay be voluntary. Best to check new facts before using the image regarding The Bridges, this is historical or for generic use as watershed protection.
